Advice & Support Hubs

Our weekly Advice and Support Hubs, in both Croydon and Brent, integrate our established youth and sporting activities with our in-demand 1:1 casework service and access to expert legal and therapeutic support via our partners.

Youth Development Programme

Our Youth Development Programme includes a wide range of youth and sporting activities across several weekly youth groups, our young women’s groups, trips during the school holidays and annual residentials.

Education

English-language support is a core part of our offer and runs through all our activities as well as being a distinct programme offered 1:1 or in small groups.

Casework service

Our Casework service offers bespoke one-to-one support and advocacy to young people, aged 11-25, to resolve pressing issues and in navigating the complex UK systems.

Youth Welfare Project

Our Youth Welfare Project supports the wellbeing and practical needs of young refugees aged 18-25 years old, including those who are age-disputed, living in asylum hotels. The project first launched as a pilot in Wembley in April 2021 and, following its success and learnings, was replicated in late 2022 in Croydon and King’s Cross.

Campaigning & Influencing Work

Our new strategy recognises that the systems in the UK that are meant to support and protect young refugees and asylum seekers are often broken.

The young people we support, whilst displaying resilience and strength, often have appalling experiences of the asylum system, face unacceptable living conditions, mental health crises, poverty and destitution. Our knowledge and experience provide us with the position, power, and opportunity to make a vital contribution in advocating for better systems and policies nationally and locally for those young people we work with directly, and for the wider community of young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
